John has been involved in real estate for more than a decade. A native Philadelphian, John loves the city and its culture. He grew up moving around various neighborhoods of the city, and attended Cardinal Dougherty High School and graduated from Arcadia University in Glenside, PA. John has lived throughout the Northeast part of the city, as well as in center city and South Jersey. He currently resides in Washington Township, NJ.
John has worked in practically every area of residential real estate. He started as a title closer and eventually worked as a mortgage loan officer before beginning real estate sales. “I kind of entered the industry backwards, which not many brokers have experience in. It sets me apart from many having worked in all facets of the industry.” After working at a small independent company in Northeast Philly, John opened his own brokerage in South Philadelphia under the RE/MAX franchise system. After 5 years and “weathering” the storm of a bad economy, he moved his office to the Society Hill/Queen Village fringe of center city most knows as Headhouse Square. John always loved Headhouse Square due to its proximity to South Street, an eclectic area full of excellent pubs, restaurants, shops and the famous “Shambles” that hosts the craft and farmers market. Its picturesque Georgian style homes and cobblestone street adds to the wonderful charm of the area and attaches the office to a great residential neighborhood.
As the Broker/Owner of RE/MAX Home Experts, John has enormous experience in many real estate transactions and situations. At one time managing more than 40 agents, John now maintains an office under 25 agents. John puts a lot of time and energy into his business, the industry and his clients. He prefers to work on a referral basis only but does take on new clients. He believes to properly represent a client and provide enough time and energy, an agent should work with a select number of clients per quarter. John claims “If I am a home seller, I want my agent attentive to my needs. How can the agent focus on selling my home along with 200 other homes in a given year? He can not. He will pass me off to a team member and manage that team. That is not a personal approach I would want.”
John also believes in taking a listing that he will actually sell. He wants to be focused on the goal and needs the seller to as well. “It’s a team effort.” Speaking of the team approach, John is an avid sports fan. John is active in physical fitness, as well as playing baseball in the New Jersey Independent Baseball League. His motto is to maintain a healthy body to have a healthy mind. “I like to maintain a healthy lifestyle. I exercise daily, play sports, eat well, etc… I do not like laziness.”
John also loves movies and books. “Movies can be a great way to escape from the stresses of everyday life.”
If you are looking to buyer or sell in the Philadelphia area or South Jersey, John should be your top choice!
